Leprosy Colony:

In TadepalliGudem , We have visited a Leprosy colony. There are about 20 people. We have discussed with them and understood their problems and needs.

Due to their disease, most of the patients can't work like normal people. Society treat them as untouchables. Though they are willing to work, nobody offer them any work. Apart from begging they don't have any option. They need frequent medication(pain killers, antiseptics ..etc). sometimes hospitalisation. Their earnings are not sufficient for their medicines /ration etc. Govt. has given them some benefits but they are not enough.

We have distributed cloths, blankets, fruits, rice and provisions last month. Going forward, FH will continue to help them(may be twice in an year) whenever it is possible(based on our financial capacity and volunteering availability).
