Surekha lost her ability to walk due to an injection given to her wrongly in her childhood.

 

She can only walk with the help of somebody or with the help of a Stick. 

​

Surekha’s father is a tailor whose earnings cannot fulfill her dream of studying and reaching her goal.

 

Even though she is 83% handicapped, she never lost her hope in studies. She had a strong will power

and a greater faith in God.

 

Her parents approached many people for financial help but all their efforts

were in vain.

​

When FeatherHearts met Surekha and asked about what drives her to pursue her dreams in-spite of all odds.

​

Her reply moved us, to salute to her faith and thus FH decided to sponsor for her education. Here is her wonderful response in her

own words.

 

“Most of the times I don’t have money to have my breakfast, but somehow God provided me.

 

I don’t have money to pay the fees during my graduation, but somehow God helped me.

 

Due to an accident to my mother, I couldn’t study properly for my 1st year exams. I thought that I’m going to fail, but again God helped me to pass in 1st class.

 

I love to study even though I don’t have money to pay for my college fees, I trust in God and I know that he will

help me to complete my studies so that I can get a good job and stand on my own and face the life”.

FeatherHearts was impressed with her response and told to stand on her blind hope, so that she will definitely achieve her goal.

Thus FeatherHearts helped her by paying her college fees and also provided her a hand stick for her support.
