17th month old baby Tarunika from India was diagnosed with lung collapse in Singapore on 29th June. She was admitted to KK Children's Hospital. Her Father Mr. Khrishna Kumar posted a request for help using a fund raising campaign thru give.asia which we came across on facebook on 30th July.

At that time, the contact details of Mr. Khrishna Kumar were available thru the campaign. FeatherHearts volunteer Ms. Anurupa contacted KK Hospital authorities for details, on 6th August and was asked to come back the next day. As she turned around to walk back, by sheer serendipity, she found Mr. & Mrs. Krishna Kumar along with Turunika seated in the reception area.

She walked up and enquired the details of the posting from Mr. Khrishna Kumar. Mr. Krishna Kumar informed that Tarunika was indeed discharged a couple of days back on 3rd Aug, but they came back since she was having trouble breathing along with cold and cough. She was admitted back to KK hospital the same evening and later diagnosed with enlarged heart due to extra fluid in the blood. She is undergoing treatment to balance kidney and heart functions. 

FeatherHearts volunteer Mr. Sreedhar handed over cash of S$1,000 to Mr. Khrishna Kumar along with best wishes for a speedy recovery from everyone at FH.
